Biografía

Cora Sue Collins was born April 19, 1927, in Beckley, West Virginia. She was a beautiful child actress who was in very much demand during the ’30s. Her first film, at the age of five, was The Strange Case of Clara Deane (1932). She appeared in small roles throughout the early part of the decade. One of her roles that stand out was as the illegitimate daughter of Colleen Moore in The Scarlet Letter (1934). She performed well, particularly considering that she is picked on in the film by the many children in the village where she lives. Cora remained active in films until she played Elinor Randall in Roughly Speaking (1945). She retired from movies at the ripe old age of eighteen.
